And it does to gullible people with little desire to apply any form of logic and reasoning capability. But that doesn't make those people calling those things a 'right' even somewhat correct. Confiscating and rebranding the definition of a word is merely an underhanded tactic that has proven to be effective in the political world. Make no mistake about it, it is merely the mechanism used by schisters and con-artists to push their political agenda.

That you accept some other reason why they ought not be isn't a very good answer to why this argument that they shouldn't be can or cannot be applied to other cases.
