The congress made the mistake of giving the president the ability to engage in 'military actions' without declaration of war and no president looked back sense. You may not like it, frankly I don't, but ultimately the US citizens are so use to it that it's not a major factor in our opinion of an action being taken. However, I'm not so sure the average American views Syria as being a case of false pretenses, definitely not to the degree many view Iraq. | |
