Grant @Nacht those religions are specifically mentioned in the act, but the stated purpose is to offer protection to persecuted members of minority religions from those areas. The omission of Muslims is an issue though, because those countries do have minority Muslim sects that arguably do suffer persecution. Feb 28, 2020 at 2:05 comment added Nacht My impression was that the Citizenship Act does not explicitly apply only to the religions you mentioned, but simply specifies that it applies to "minority" religions, and all the nations it specifies are majority Muslim, therefore it de facto doesn't apply to Muslims. Is this true?
