Mar 8, 2022 at 13:15 comment added Jan Which is the region in which borders have not been modified except by treaty since WWII? It can't be Europe (most of ex-Yugoslavia), it can't be the former Soviet Union (Abchasia, South Ossetia), it can't even be Eastern Europe north of the Black Sea (Transnistria, Crimea) unless I'm missing something very obvious.
Mar 2, 2022 at 19:26 comment added Acccumulation @convert I was also talking about 2003. And simply having some false claims around the war hardly makes it equivalent to the invasion of Ukraine. And I never said that criticizing the USA is Russian propaganda. I said that repeating the exact points that Putin is using to justify his invasion is Putin propaganda.
Mar 2, 2022 at 19:20 comment added convert @Acccumulation I was tallking about 2003. But for the first war against Iraq there were also some fake reasons, just remember that strange girl tallking about iraqis kiling babies, which turned out to be a huge fake. Also since when critising USA is russian propaganda?
Mar 2, 2022 at 19:01 comment added Acccumulation @convert Iraq invaded Kuwait, then violated the terms of the cease fire that ended that invasion. Moreover, Saddam Hussein was a dictator who engaged in rampant human rights abuses. Your dissemination of Putin propaganda is disgusting.
Mar 2, 2022 at 18:56 comment added Acccumulation @CGCampbell Clearly, Ohwilleke is using the word "provocation" to mean "legitimate basis", not "anything someone does that you throw a temper tantrum in response to".
Mar 2, 2022 at 10:43 comment added convert @Acccumulation Yes the reason for USA to go into Iraq were not any beter then the reasons for Russia to go into Ukraine.
Mar 2, 2022 at 5:52 comment added Acccumulation @convert To what are you referring when you say "the last of your points"? Surely you aren't claiming that there were no colorable claims of provocation by Iraq (note that "colorable" is much weaker than "I personally find valid").

Mar 1, 2022 at 22:34 comment added ohwilleke @convert So what?
Mar 1, 2022 at 22:07 comment added convert The last of your points can be valide for US invasion in Iraq as well.
