The Armenian gov't really isn't saying much at the moment, other than blaming Russia, according to int'l news reports. | |

If the hope was to exchange some autonomy for the Artsakh for the Zangezur corridor, then it is completely void now. The demands from Turkey and Azerbaijan are now without any reciprocity. Also, the Armenian population is now very angry and there are fears of a coup. It also brings some associations with the Polish corridor issues of 1939 and an international reaction after attacking Armenia proper to gain land could be very different from those after just retaking its recognized territory. | |

Of course Armenia could say Az reneged on the deal and the like, but I'm guessing they'd be weary of the fate of the Armenians in Artsakh to be too revisionist on this issue. | |
