I would like to find out which laws the UK has been outvoted on in the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers. How can I do this?

I don’t think it makes sense to speak of the UK “being outvoted in the European Parliament”. It’s not the UK that is voting there, it’s a number of MEPs who happen to be from the UK and who rarely vote as a bloc. – chirlu Dec 13 '18 at 19:29

For the Council, the votes are public, but I don’t think you can filter them by criteria such as “UK voted no”, “legislation was passed”. – chirlu Dec 13 '18 at 19:31

@chirlu and for some of them its "who rarely vote" (at all) – Caleth Dec 13 '18 at 23:36
  • @Caleth Of course, "what is the voting record of MEP X?" is a far easier question: votewatch.eu/en/term8-european-parliament-members.html – origimbo Dec 14 '18 at 2:49

See votewatch.eu, or a summary: ukandeu.ac.uk/explainers/… ; still can't quite find an individual vote breakdown. Note that only some CoM votes are subject to QMV, there are plenty where the UK can't be outvoted because it's a consensus. – pjc50 Dec 14 '18 at 16:01
