According to this page:

  1. Base salary per month €8,484
  2. Office costs per month €4,342
  3. Staff costs per month €24,164
  4. Daily debate attendance per day €306

This answer is misleading and should be expanded to explain what these items are about. The question you asked is "how much can an MEP earn" whereas only one of the four items you've listed is actually pocketed by the MEP, and even then they have a distinct tax regime on it. – Denis de Bernardy May 22 at 9:27

@DenisdeBernardy 1. I would have thought 1 and 4 are pocketed directly. 2. As we have seen in the UK, large parts of 2 and 3 can also be pocketed, or be given to familiy members who get paid without actually doing any work. – gnasher729 May 22 at 10:28

4 needs invoices and is designed to cover travel and hospitality expenses only. 2 basically is a glorified office supplies budget. Similarly, 3 is designed to hire staff (and the occasional consultant or researcher) only. MEPs who do spurious things with 2-4 end up with public outcry and repercussions. See e.g. Le Pen in France, who last I checked was facing a €375k fine and three years in jail over using 2 and 3 for party purposes. (No idea if her case has evolved in the past few months.) – Denis de Bernardy May 22 at 11:24
