After posting a comment that I wanted to see an upgoer five compatible (which means only using the 1000 most-used words in the English language) explanation of Brexit, I actually set out to write one myself … It's definitely more than "a few sentences" and it doesn't answer your questions directly, but it is (what I see as) a pretty complete explanation of Brexit in language that is quite child-proof. …
