Theses:
- Much of transatlantic misunderstandings originate from the common American belief that Europe is a monoculture as well as the common European belief that the US is a monoculture. Unfortunately, if you point this out at the wrong time you end up standing in the middle of a pissing contest.
- If some politician suggests that there is a simple explanation/solution to a problem, then they are either a half-wit or a populist. I dunno which is worse. The world is a complicated place.
